Using Messenger - e-Mail Integration

PortalsXpress's Messenger provides you with three ways to view your e-mail:

  1. By using the PortalsXpress Messenger program.
  2. By using web-based e-mail, (such as www.portalsxpress.com)
  3. By using your current e-mail program (such as MS-Outlook, Netscape Messenger, Eudora, etc.).


The choice is yours. The goal of Messenger e-mail integration is to work for you in a manner that compliments your daily activities. All three integration choices provide you with the main benefits and skills of PortalsXpress the permissions-based contact that allows you to control what individuals and addresses may send you e-mail, and the security of your electronic correspondence. PortalsXpress Messenger can act as your instant messaging application or as your centralized electronic messaging application. In other words, along with allowing you to send instant messages to individual members, you can also use it to send and receive e-mail. Think of the benefit, PortalsXpress Messenger is at work filtering out those unwanted e-mails before they even reach your inbox.

To set-up and utilize the e-Mail integration feature, do the following:
  • Click on the Messenger pull-down menu and select "Settings"
  • Click on the E-Mail Integration button. You are automatically taken to your account at www.portalsxpress.com website
  • Follow the instructions provided at the website.
