Using DocumentManager - Post Scan Editor

Editing Scanned Documents
PortalsXpress allows a user to edit a document as it is scanned . Any scanned item can be cropped, rotated and even additional pages can be scanned into the file. Once the scanning process is complete the PortalsXpress Post-Scan Editor will appear.

Zoom
The zoom button allows a user to enlarge a selected portion of the image. This is convenient when a specific area needs to be edited.

Crop
The crop button allows a user to select a portion of the scanned document and trim off any unwanted areas.

Rotate
The Post-Scan Editor will allow an image to be rotated 90 degrees in either direction. To rotate the image, just click the Rotate Left or Rotate Right buttons.

Scan 2nd Side
When adding two-sided documents to the PortalsXpress document management system the Scan 2nd Side button allows a user to save both sides of the document to a single file. After scanning the first side, just click Scan 2nd Side. PortalsXpress will initiate the scan and store both sides of the document in a single file.

Scan More
Many documents contain multiple pages. The Scan More button allows a user to add as many pages as needed to a document. Just click Scan More and scan all additional pages into the system. Once the scanning is complete, pages can be rotated, cropped and saved into a digital file as needed.

Done
Once all scanning and editing is complete, simply click Done to display the Select Print/Scan Destination dialog and save the document to a folder of your choice.
